David Russell Review:Whilst at the Royal Academy, Russell twice won the Julian Bream Guitar Prize. Later he won numerous international competitions, including the Andrés Segovia Competition, the José Ramírez Competition and Spain's prestigious Francisco Tárrega Competition. Since 1995 he has recorded exclusively for Telarc International, with over a dozen CDs released to date on the label.

Australian Guitar Music from NaxosReview: This March 2010 release from Naxos, juxtaposes some very familiar works by eminent Australian composer alongside some less familiar offerings, and to great effect. Many of you will already by acquainted with the works of Peter Sculthopre and Phillip Houghton, which sit alongside some fantastic more recent compositions. Highlights of these include the opening two pieces "Blackwattle Caprices " by Ross Ewards. Aleksandr Tsiboulski is a first-prize winner in numerous competitions including the 2006 Tokyo International Guitar Competition. As a debut recording this is highly impressive and technically flawless throughout.
