Review: This March 2010 release from Naxos, juxtaposes some very familiar works by eminent Australian composer alongside some less familiar offerings, and to great effect. Many of you will already by acquainted with the works of Peter Sculthopre and Phillip Houghton, which sit alongside some fantastic more recent compositions. Highlights of these include the opening two pieces "Blackwattle Caprices " by Ross Ewards. Aleksandr Tsiboulski is a first-prize winner in numerous competitions including the 2006 Tokyo International Guitar Competition. As a debut recording this is highly impressive and technically flawless throughout.
